Beloved Community Dialogue event header
As a follow up to It's Time to Talk: Forums on Race, the Jeannette Rankin Foundation is hosting a series of Beloved Community Dialogues in the Athens Community.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. envisioned the The Beloved Community.
“In the Beloved Community, caring and compassion drive political policies that support the worldwide elimination of poverty and hunger and all forms of bigotry and violence. The Beloved Community is a state of heart and mind a spirit of hope and good will that transcends all boundaries and barriers”
In following his vision, the Beloved Community Dialogue will be a FREE event open to the community with RSVP. We hope to continue the dialogue on race, diversity, and inclusion in Athens, GA with all members of our community.
Our first Beloved Community Dialogue will take place on May 2nd, 2019 from 5:30 - 7:00PM at the Athens-Clarke County Library.
