Tina is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in English, while raising her three children in South Carolina. Upon graduation, Tina hopes to begin a career as a Spanish teacher.
“My teaching skills will be an asset to myself, my family, and the children of my community. It has been challenging to learn, but my desire to help children through verbal communication has been uplifting and rewarding.”
She was recently honored for receiving the JRF scholarship by her university’s chancellor at a Recognition Scholarship luncheon. Tina is looking forward to completing her college education this year. She says, “The University experience has taught me a lot about myself and my own sense of determination and will.”back
