Donna is on her way to earning an associate’s degree in nursing, and plans to transfer into a bachelor’s program. She hopes to work at a local hospital in labor and delivery or pediatrics. In her first year, she earned a 3.89 GPA and has been invited to join the honor society, Phi Theta Kappa. Spending her young adulthood helping her husband raise his 7 younger siblings, Donna says that she has always had dreams of becoming a nurse.
“The Nursing program is competitive, but so am I. It requires sacrifice, but I am already familiar with that. It requires effort, and I know how to put that forth. I am succeeding and I will continue to succeed.”
